Description
This is how I spent the few holidays I had this summer. It was since the movie came out I wanted to cosplay this character, because I do not only like the character's design (the thing that impressed me the most was actually the hairstyle) but also her personality and story are really close to mine.
I completely sewed and painted the sleeves, skirt and cape. Shoes are made modifying pre existing ones and also the wig was dyed and styled by me.
The corset is made by lining a pre exiting one. As I was not satisfied with the sequins I found for sale, I painted clear plastic sheets with metal acrylic paint and cut sequins out of it, one by one to get different tones and shapes (thanks to my friends that helped me in cutting!) There also are glass crystals but you can't see them exept than in close ups.I hope I will be soon be able to post a tutorial to make the corset with WIP pictures of all steps.
There's still some details I want to fix but I'm really satisfied with this costume, I also won as "best costume" at the comicon in my town. *^*
This great picture was made by Marco de Rizzo: www.facebook.com/pages/Marco-D… at a local comicon. I know here on DA you usually can't get much appreciation of your cosplay pics without a ton or two of glitteringshimmeringfading Photoshop effects on it, but I wanted to show the costume as it actually is.
